Through a love for yarn, McNeedles opened her doors September 23, 2008, with a mission to: provide the best New Orleans yarn store, as well as knitting needles for every budget and crochet supplies for all projects, to provide a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, to provide assistance when needed and to be prompt and courteous with all customers, in the New Orleans area store and the internet alike. McNeedles also offers an extensive selection of yarn in all weights, fibers, colors and textures. In addition to knitting and crochet yarn, there is a large selection of brand specific patterns, as well as generic patterns for babies, children, adults, accessories, etc. Buttons, bags, accessories and a large selection of knitting needles and crochet supplies such as hooks to complement any knit or crochet project can be found at McNeedles as well. Knitting, crochet and other classes are held every day and include beginner to advanced, as well as technique workshops.
